      Isabella Finholdt (1993) is Brazilian freelance photographer and photojournalist, based most of the time in Sao Paulo. She has a BA and MA degree in fine Arts - photography at USP (University of Sao Paulo) and has been developing long-term documentary projects about her own community since 2018.
     
      She is an alumni of VII Academy and contributes with national and international media, covering stories on human rights, politics, youth, culture and socio-environmental issues. In 2023 she received a fellowship from CCP - IFA - Germany where she stayed with Zeitenspiegel agentur for 3 months, furthermore living in the country for a year and contributing with writers and local media.

       She published stories and works on Estadao, Metropoles, OCCRP, Vogue, Stern, Zeit, NZZ, Taz.de, etc. In 2024 together with journalist Miri Watson she received a young talent prize of DSW - Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung for their research reportage about FGM - Female genital mutilation in The Gambia.
