“We're nothing!?” is a look into the lives and stories of marginalized outskirts LGBTQIA+ teens and youth from São Paulo. Brazil has its youngest population ever. In 2020, around 50 million people were aged 15 to 29, a pivotal time in self-development. Despite more fluid and self-determined sexual experiences, this generation faces prejudice, discrimination, and violence. Shockingly, Brazil records one LGBTQIA+ person murdered every 34 hours, leading global transgender homicide rates for 14 consecutive years. Childhood and adolescent transsexuality remains underexplored in Brazil, contrasting with urgent global discussions. How can we protect today's queer and trans Brazilian youth, especially those on the margins, from becoming tomorrow's victims?
